David L. O'Neal is an author of short stories, poems, and books who is currently living in Walnut Creek, California. I have been writing for more than 50 years, and began pursuing it as a second career when I retired from rare book dealing in 2002. Writing is my true passion in life.

My latest book, The Longest Suicide, depicts many of the experiences of my life. It begins with my childhood and continues through my time at Princeton University, my service in the US Marine Corps, and my career as a rare book dealer.
